Pre‑implant consultation
The implantology consultation enables us to perform the examinations necessary for making the best choices and ensuring the smooth progress of your implant treatment.
Interview
We will learn about your expectations and concerns in order to respond as precisely as possible to your request.
Medical history
We will consider your medical background and assess whether it is feasible to place an implant.
We will contact your primary care physicians and specialists if necessary.
In some cases, special precautions will be put in place in accordance with current medical best practices.
Clinical examination
We perform facial, oral, and dental examinations. Special attention is paid to your periodontal health, because untreated or inadequately treated gum disease can affect implants.
3D radiographic exam (Cone Beam)
These three‑dimensional radiographs allow a very detailed view of bone quantity and anatomical defects such as nerves and arteries.
This will allow us to select the optimal implant size for your case and digitally preview its position.
We have a Cone Beam in our practice, so there is no need to see an external radiologist for this exam.
Treatment plan
After analyzing the collected data, we will develop an individualized treatment plan. If your case is simple, it will be presented immediately, and if your case is more complex, it may be presented during your next consultation.
We will discuss in detail the following items:
-
- Various treatment options and alternative solutions
- The possibility of needing pre‑implant surgeries (extraction with socket preservation, bone grafting and/or gum grafts) greffe osseuse et/ou gingivale).
- The possibility of placing immediate provisional prostheses on implants
- The type of anesthesia, sédation, or premedication chosen to make the procedure as comfortable as possible
- The time required and the number of sessions needed to complete the treatment
- Preoperative advice and prescription medications
- Treatment costs and financing options
